Zain Latif

Zain is the founder of TLG Capital, focusing primarily on frontier markets in Africa. Prior to founding TLG Capital, Mr. Latif was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in the New Markets division focusing on Sub-Saharan Africa across all products. He joined Goldman Sachs from Merrill Lynch where he was involved in originating and executing a number of ground-breaking emerging market transactions in Africa. Before joining Merrill, Mr. Latif spear-headed the special situations African effort at HSBC which culminated in a widely reported inaugural debt/equity hybrid structure for a leading Nigerian financial institution. Mr. Latif holds a Masters degree in Finance achieved at the age of 19 from Cass Business School. He currently sits on a number of boards of TLG portfolio companies

Isha Doshi

Prior to TLG, Isha worked on the fund derivatives structuring desk at Lehman Brothers in both the New York and London offices. Isha has a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Columbia University. She completed her M.A. at the London School of Economics shortly before joining TLG. Isha is a Partner and CFO at TLG Capital and served as COO from 2009 until 2017. She was responsible for the set-up and operations of the company and headed the restructure of TLG into a permanent capital vehicle in 2012 as well as the launch of the Credit Opportunities Fund in 2016. Zain and Isha were married in 2008, and founded TLG together in 2009

Frederic Bidet, CFA

Frederic joined TLG Capital in 2017, to run and supervise operations and risk management functions. Prior to joining TLG, Frederic worked at Citigroup for 7 years in Corporate Derivatives Marketing and Structuring, providing tailored risk management solutions for large listed corporates, private equity funds, public entities and sovereign wealth funds across CEEMEA, with a particular focus on North Africa, Turkey and Middle East. Frederic also worked for 7 years in Mergers & Acquisitions at Standard Chartered, advising Asian and African clients on their corporate finance operations into Europe. Frederic has a deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting and risk management as well as significant experience in Emerging Markets. He holds a MSc in IT Engineering & Artificial Intelligence from University of Technology of Compiegne, as well as a Masters Degree in Finance from HEC Paris

Saad Sheikh

Saad joined TLG Capital in 2014. His roles include originating, running the deal pipeline, structuring and executing new deals. Saad sits on the board of several of TLG’s portfolio companies to better steer strategy and operations. Prior to TLG Capital, Saad was a director at Accenture, consulting across technology and business strategy

He brings long standing experience from Nokia, Nokia Siemens Networks and Alcatel working across 4 continents (Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and Africa) and across 18 countries. He has managed 3G and 4G strategic directives for conglomerates such as Vodafone, Hutchison, Telefonica, Telenor and Orascom. Saad holds an MBA from Imperial College London and a B.S. in Computer Systems and Electronics from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Pakistan

Zhiyong Heng

Zhiyong is the Head of TLG’s Supply Chain and Tactical Opportunities, sharing responsibilities for all of TLG’s revenue-generating and investing businesses

TLG’s Supply Chain and Tactical Opportunities is a multi-asset class business with a global mandate, specialising in principal investing and lending across the capital structure on a risk-adjusted return basis. Zhi Yong is responsible for spearheading TLG’s Asia and Middle East presence with focus on identify principal investment opportunities

Prior to joining TLG Capital, Zhi Yong worked for Davide Leone & Partners, focusing on special situations and event-driven strategies. Zhi Yong has had past experience working in the Investment Banking and Investment Management divisions of various global financial institutions including Goldman Sachs

He holds a BSc. (Honours) in Economics and Statistics from the University College London. He also served with Distinction in the Singapore Military Force

Declan EE

Declan has been an investor and advisor to TLG since inception and recently took on an active role to expand TLG’s reach to the Asian investor base. Declan is an entrepreneur and an investor in tech, consumer, media & frontier markets. Declan has over 10 years of experience in finance with Lehman Brothers, Nomura and Jefferies in fixed income, equities and private equity. Declan has deep relationships across Asia with sovereign wealth funds, mutual funds and hedge funds. As an entrepreneur, Declan is co-founder of, the fastest growing e-commerce furniture brand in South East Asia and selected by the Business Times Singapore as one of the top 15 Emerging Enterprises of 2017. Declan was also one of the top 20 special achievement award winners by the Small Medium Business Association for 2014. Declan holds an LLB (Hons) from University College London
